Welcome to the intersection of pure beauty and unabashed opulence. The House of Dior has introduced its third and final installment of the Dior à Versailles collection.
Dior’s creative director of fine jewelry, Victoire de Castellane, is the guiding spirit behind the luxurious collections. Pièces Secrètes further extends her vision. Castellane perfectly channels the aesthetic and extravagance of the famed French palace in the latest line.
Pièces Secrètes is dedicated to the secrets and intrigues of the Palace of Versailles, and this motif of the hidden and intimate shines through in each piece. Castellane opted for more muted hues to accentuate the collection’s homage to intrigue, in addition to adding secret chambers that reveal more diamonds, a rare blue spinel, or even an oxidized silver mirror.
One of the most impressive pieces is an ultra-rare 9.62-carat rubellite housed in a rococo pendant. But gazing upon any piece in the collection is like taking a journey into the past; each would look quite at home in the 17th century, worn by Versailles royalty in the era of the Sun King.
In the two previous segments of the Versailles collections, Castellane took inspiration from the palace’s flower gardens and luxurious interior spaces.
