Hollywood couple Alyson Hannigan and Alexis Denisof—no strangers to real estate wheeling and dealing—have listed their home in Santa Monica in for $5.1 million. This particular holding of the duo is situated in a quiet, sylvan section of the city.

An ornament-heavy home, the 1930’s Spanish eclectic borrows heavily from the architecture of Iberia, with a huge amount of Muslim influence evident; check out the minaret-like tower, the abundance of soft arches, and the wealth of North African flourishes. Heady stuff, resulting in a streetside impression of the exotic that isn’t the least bit reticent: this is a house that’s up front with its desire to charm the boots off passersby, and the lush, romantically edge-of-wild landscaping supports the conceit very well.

The interiors of the 4,186 square-foot residence mainly keep the established theme, with a front entrance embellished by vines and a very substantial carved front door. Mullion windows and accents, exposed beams, rustic plank floors, colorful tile, and an eclectic and eccentric mix of styles of pendant fixtures preserve the period feel.

The home’s exterior features stucco demarcation walls, a simple pool with accent wall and raised spa, a bit of lawn, and an iron spiral staircase.

Hannigan and Denisof tied the knot in 2003, after meeting on the set of ‘Buffy…’ Hannigan may continue hosting ‘Penn & Teller: Fool Us’ in its upcoming fifth season; Denisof has recently appeared as a recurring character on ‘I Love Bekka & Lucy.’
