“American Idol” director Bruce Gowers has put his Malibu estate back on the market, this time with an asking price of $12,975,000 million.
The 4.37-acre Los Angeles-area equestrian compound has been on and off the market since it first listed at $14.95 million in March 2016. So, the recently relisted property returns to the market at a nearly $2 million reduction, which should be enough to stimulate a great deal of interest.
The property is known as Silver Raven Farms. It is set above Point Dume and Zuma Beach. The multi-residence compound dates to 2009, and is accessed via a long, private, brick driveway. The main residence is a two-story traditional stretching to 5,788 square feet, with four bedrooms and six baths throughout.
The multi-winged home boasts a number of living spaces with luxe touches like wood-beamed vaulted ceilings, skylights, and fireplaces. In addition to a modern chef’s kitchen, there’s also an expansive recreation room with French doors, wood-paneled accents, a wet bar, and a mounted TV.
The property itself represents significant draw, though. Park-style lush landscaping, rolling lawns, tropical trees, fruit trees, a seasonal stream, equestrian facilities, a multi-stall barn, and a riding arena are all part and parcel of its meandering composition. There are also three detached cottages on the property for guests and live-in staff.
In addition to directing nearly 250 episodes of “American Idol,” Gowers has directed a number of awards shows. He took home a Grammy in 1985 for directing a Huey Lewis and the News music video.
