Swiss watchmaker Piaget has introduced the Altiplano Ultimate 910P; in doing so, they’ve introduced watch-lovers to the world’s thinnest automatic timepiece.

The luxurious new watch measures just 4.3 mm thick and 41 mm wide, and shows off the extraordinary level of craftsmanship that is the hallmark of Piaget. This particular entry in the Altiplano line boasts the cal. 910P housed in the sleek Ultimate Automatic case.

The ultra-thin design is the result of an inventive bit of mechanical redistribution: mounting the pivots and gears directly onto the case back in lieu of a traditional main plate. A 22k gold narrow rotor and a 50-hour power reserve add to the watch’s aesthetic and functional appeal.

The Altiplano Ultimate 910P is available in 18k pink gold for $39,200, or 18k white gold for $40,800. Piaget’s newest will officially debut at SIHH 2018.
