Diamondbacks pitcher Zack Greinke has listed his Studio City home for $7.55 million.
The second-highest paid MLB player will surely miss his luxurious Los Angeles-area Craftsman estate. The residence was designed by architect Ray Keller and designer Dixon Chang, and the structure’s unique aesthetic makes it stand out from other luxury homes.
Greinke’s two-structure compound was built in 2012 and is located on more than an acre up in the foothills. More than 10,000 square feet is spread across three stories with a number of custom elements like deep eaves with rafter tails, tapered sone columns, and an extra-wide roof.
In addition to the home’s 19th-century-style construction, the future owner will surely be drawn to the custom stained-glass, pitched maple ceilings, custom millwork, and double-hung and leaded glass casement windows.
The residence also boasts a number of spacious living areas, in addition to an office, a receiving room, a home theater, and a gym. Since the home was designed to offer indoor-outdoor living, there are also five stone fireplaces and doors leading outside from nearly every bedroom.
Finally, if guests want a bit more privacy, they can cross a wooden bridge to reach a one-bedroom guesthouse complete with a kitchen, living space, and bonus room. Visitors and residents alike will enjoy the outdoor amenities, including a putting green, a swimming pool, and an outdoor shower.
