Writer-producer Simon Kinberg has put his Los Angeles-area home on the market for $9 million.
Kinsberg, who is best known for writing, directing, and producing movies in the “X-Men” franchise, purchased the luxurious manse for $8.4 million more than two years ago. Located in the Bird Streets neighborhood above the Sunset Strip, the sleek and stylish residence is nestled behind extra-tall privacy hedges.
The 6,300-square-foot home boasts an East Coast Traditional style and is stacked with a number of luxe features, including a state-of-the-art home automation system, a double-height entrance gallery, an outdoor kitchen, and a swimming pool with a large spa.
The four-en-suite-bedroom, 7.5-bath home impresses with an expansive open-concept living space complete with a wood-paneled dining room, a marble fireplace, and an eat-in kitchen. There’s also a media lounge, a walk-in wine cellar, and an attached guesthouse or home office space.
Kinsberg was nominated for an Oscar in 2016 for producing the hit film “The Martian” and is currently working on TV shows like “Legion” and “Designated Survivor.” He also owns a Pacific Palisades residence that he purchased for $8.6 million in 2012.
