SAP CEO Bill McDermott has put his luxurious Florida mansion on the market for $17.8 million.
The software company chief purchased the coastal estate and most of its furnishings in 2012, from none other than country music superstar Alan Jackson. McDermott paid $10.45 million for the property, and is hoping to make a sizable return on his beachfront investment.
The home is located on Jupiter Island, about an hour from Palm Beach; McDermott’s five-bedroom home is set on a 1.2-acre plot flanked by salt water. The mansion includes a number of luxurious features, including soaring ceilings, a home theater, an elevator, and a library with herringbone walnut floors.
Apparently, the 9,600-square-foot home has changed little in the period since Jackson’s ownership, right down to the furniture, and the two white cars that perfectly match the garage. Buyers looking to maintain the look may purchase the furnishings for an extra cost.
The exterior amenities impress as well, with a private dock on the Intracoastal side, in addition to a putting green, a boardwalk, and a swimming pool on the ocean side. There’s also a sizable one-bedroom guesthouse on the property.
