Comedian Jeff Dunham Sells Encino Mansion at a Loss

Ventriloquist funnyman Jeff Dunham has sold his Encino, Calfornia, mansion for $4.1 million.

The comedian’s Los Angeles-area home was on and off the market for nearly two years, and unfortunately for Dunham, it finally sold for more than $1 million less than his original asking price, and $150,000 less than what he paid for it in July 2009.

Located in a beautiful gated community, the five-bedroom home is set on .42 acres and stuns with a number of luxe features, so its difficulties on the market aren’t indicative of its overall allure. The expansive residence boasts a stone facade draped in vines in addition to a 670-square-foot, two-room guesthouse.

The Mediterranean-inflected property features dark hardwood floors, a stone-paved courtyard, an advanced security system, and a vaulted, exposed beam ceiling. In addition to a sitting room, the home holds a formal living room, a formal dining room, a butler’s pantry, a large kitchen, and a beautiful family room with a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace.

The backyard impresses as well with plenty of space to host family and friends out on the stone-paved dining loggia, in the grassy yard, or in the lagoon-style swimming pool and spa. An outdoor kitchen and fireplace are also great for staying warm while entertaining during brisk evenings.

Dunham recently released his Netflix comedy special “Relative Disaster,” and is busy promoting his show on a 60-city tour.
