The writer and showrunner of ABC’s hit “This Is Us” Isaac Aptaker has sold his Los Angeles-area home for $1.199 million.
Located in the Moreno Highlands neighborhood above Sunset Junction, the mid-century Silver Lake home found a buyer after just two weeks on the market. Built in the 1950s, the 1,178-square-foot hillside residence was recently renovated. It holds two bedrooms and one bath.
In addition to extensive renovations, which include a new kitchen, foundation repairs, and earthquake retrofitting, the quaint home impresses with an airy living room complete with a fireplace and views of the valley beyond.
The newly updated kitchen is quite spacious for the relative size of the home and stands out thanks to blue cabinetry and a marble island. Living space extends outdoors with a bi-level deck, a dining terrace, an outdoor fireplace, and a covered lounge space.
Aptaker formerly wrote for the sitcom “The Neighbors,” but he’s found great success with “This Is Us,” the highest-rated first-year series of 2016. The screenwriter purchased the L.A. bungalow for $750,000 in 2013.
