Actor Dennis Quaid has scooped up a Los Angeles-area Contemporary for $3.9 million.
Located in the celebrity-approved neighborhood of Brentwood Hills, the 4,100-square-foot home set at the end of a cul-de-sac has five bedrooms and 4.5 baths. The ultra-modern residence was recently rebuilt to include a striking double-height central gallery space with a large skylight for plenty of natural light, and a second-floor gallery.
Although the living room stuns with a contemporary paneled wall, floor-to-ceiling glass sliders, and a fireplace, the expansive chef’s kitchen might be the natural heart of the home: its central location near the living room and open dining space gives the living spaces an effortless sense of flow, and a well-defined center.
The dining room gets its personality from slim wooden ceiling beams, and boasts glass sliders for even more natural light. Moving through the sliding glass doors, guests and residents alike can enjoy the grilling station and swimming pool in the backyard.
Quaid, who recently separated from his third wife, is set to star as President George W. Bush in the next season of “American Crime Story.” His property portfolio also includes a residence in the Pacific Palisades.
