The former Malibu Beach house of Pierce Brosnan just sold for $2.82 million.

Brosnan sold the property in 2011, for $2.6 million. The Mediterranean-style beachfront retreat is set on a quarter of an acre; the 1979-built stucco home has been renovated, and boasts an updated floor plan. The home’s interior is very charming, and loaded with surprises: wall niches, lots of soft arches, and Spanish and Moroccan design cues.

Guests make their way through the courtyard entry with its tiled fountain before reaching the living room, which features an exposed-beam ceiling and two sets of French doors leading out to a large patio. The 3,412-square-foot villa also boasts three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a formal dining room, a double-island kitchen, and a breakfast space.

The home’s five fireplaces, balconies, and ocean views suggest an intoxicating, timeless mode of living. The master suite features a steam shower, a clawfoot tub, and custom tile work.

Brosnan owned the home from 1996 until 2011 when he purchased another home in the area. Recent roles for the star include “The Foreigner” on the big screen, and the “The Son” on the small.
