Italian motorcycle company Ducati has introduced its replacement for the popular 1299 superbike. Like it or not, the company is phasing out the V-Twin.

Unveiling at EICMA in Milan, Ducati’s new Panigale V4 made a big impression, though, with plenty of power and a red-hot aesthetic that, in both cases, mirrors Ducati’s recent and very capable racers. Ducati Corse helped to create the Panigale V4 with MotoGP technology, and as the most powerful bike in its class, riders can expect 14,000 rpm from the 90-degree V4 engine.

Customers will be able to opt for one of three versions of the bike, including the standard Panigale V4, the amped-up Panigale V4S, or the even more exclusive Panigale V4 Speciale. Riders can expect 214 hp from the standard bike and the V4 S, but the S version boasts a lighter build, a lithium-ion battery, and Smart EC 2.0.

Limited to just 1,500 examples, the Panigale V4 Speciale is in a class of its own with an ultra-light build of 381 lbs, 226 hp on tap, a titanium exhaust system, an Ultrasuede seat, and a three-color livery.

Each of the beautiful new Ducati bikes is equipped with a full-LED headlight, Ducati Quick Shift, Ducati Power Launch, a Sachs steering damper, and quick control selection.
