Actor’s actor Alfred Molina has sold his Los Angeles-area Sunset Square home for $2.8 million.

The star paid $565,000 for the Hollywood home more than two decades ago. The five-bedroom traditional bears all the signs of a upscale home, with hardwood floors and an open-concept living room, dining room, and kitchen. But unusual standout details like stained glass panels, period light fixtures, and a marvelous library lined with built-ins indicate a very creative owner.

In addition to a black marble fireplace in the living room, features like brick accents and an expansive kitchen island add to the home’s charm. The 4,420-square-foot home also holds a formal dining room, a den, a sunroom, and a separate guest house with its own office and terrace. The master suite features a ceramic-tile bathroom, a walk-in closet, and a balcony.

Molina has recently starred in TV series like “Angie Tribeca” and “Feud,” but is memorable for his roles in movies like “Spider-Man 2” and “Raiders of the Lost Ark”; in both films, he played a budding arachnophobe whose life is cut short.
