Even though the original Vespa scooter has been zooming around for more than 70 years, manufacturer Piaggo has continued to keep its adorable scooters up-to-date with current trends. And Piaggo’s newest fleet of city cruisers will come with a very considerable update indeed.
Next year, Piaggo is set to introduce its Elettrica e-Scooter. The modern new Vespa Elettrica is super quiet and boasts a number of unique features sure to make the riding experience, and urban air quality, better than ever.
Piaggo gave us our first glimpse of the electric Vespa at EICMA last year, and now the company is taking the big leap into production of the electric bike.
The Vespa Elettrica looks a lot like earlier fuel-powered models. It will be available in a sleek chrome gray with seven different color accent options. The two-wheeler is powered by a 4 kW electric motor, and it boasts an electric-only range of 62 miles, more than enough for a daily commute, errand-running, or weekend wandering.
Pricing for the new Vespa has yet to be announced.
