Actor and producer Michael Chiklis just put his luxurious Sherman Oaks, California, property on the market for $5.195 million.
The Los Angeles-area home is nestled on a lush lot set behind double gates. The Hamptons-style home stretches to 5,773 square feet with four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. There’s also a separate two-story guesthouse on the .62-acre plot.
In addition to wide plank Vermont Pine floorboards, the white-shingled residence boasts interior design cues from Windsor Smith. Spaces like formal living and dining rooms feature traditional design elements like a pressed tin tray ceiling, and a fireplace with a hearth step. The kitchen is especially striking with top-grade appliances, Moroccan-style pendant lights, and marble countertops.
The actor’s home also features an expansive family room complete with vaulted ceilings with exposed trusses, and a wall of French doors. The property exterior includes a swimming pool, spa, and sport court, in addition to a brick-paved dining terrace and fire pit in the backyard.
Chiklis has recently appeared on “American Horror Story: Freak Show” and “Gotham”; he won an Emmy for his work on “The Shield.” He purchased the Sherman Oaks home for $1.1 million back in 1996 from fellow actor David Hasselhoff.
