Nimble-witted talk-show host Joy Behar has an Upper West Side apartment property coming in, and another one going out. Having recently decided to hang her hat near Lincoln Center, Ms. Behar went ahead and listed her co-op unit a little further uptown, which she’s owned for nearly a decade. She paid $2.4 million for the new unit, a two-and-three spanning a little more than 1,300 square feet.

But, to the outgoing property. It’s actually the second unit in the building owned by Behar; she traded up to it several years ago. Another flat, it measures roughly 3,000 square feet, with three bedrooms and three baths throughout. A larger space, but, then, those twenty-five blocks are key, and the appeal of such proximity to Central Park goes without saying.

What’s in the rearview is a long foyer leading to a very open living area, a master suite with a good-sized walk-in closet, a fairly knockout kitchen, ten-foot ceilings, floors of hardwood and inlaid marble, and a great deal of custom work, including cabinetry and built-ins. Most impressive, though, is that wide-open common area, which spans about fifty feet, incorporating living room, dining room, and kitchen into a single space with a very intoxicating sense of scale.

The building features a roof terrace; it is designed around a central garden. The unit is priced at $3.5 million.

Outspoken Behar returned to co-host ABC’s The View in 2015. She has also hosted ‘Late Night Joy’ and ‘Joy Behar: Say Anything!’
