Keeper of the flame Indian Motorcycles debuted an incredible new custom-built motorcycle at EICMA last week.

The American bikemaker seems to be hinting at the possibility of a production Street Tracker with the introduction of its custom-built Scout FTR1200. The street-legal monster takes inspiration from the FTR750 racing series bike that made a serious impression at the 2017 American Flat Track racing event.

Industrial designer Richard Christoph altered the shape of the FTR750 to fit with a Scout engine and chassis. Christoph and his team utilized a mod podge of FTR750 parts, Scout pieces, and custom elements to assemble the special build. The result is a roaring motorcycle with 1133cc of V-twin power producing more than 100 hp.

In addition to a custom frame, components like an Ohlins suspension, RSD wheels, Dunlop S pattern tires, and a number of carbon-fiber custom pieces complete the FTR’s look.

The Scout FTR 1200 Custom is a one-off creation, but fans of the brand are hoping the positive response to the bike will spur Indian to commit to a street-legal limited-production model in the near future.
