High-end Swiss watchmaker Parmigiani Fleurier has introduced a super-limited new wristwatch.
The Bugatti Type 390 takes inspiration from the Bugatti Chiron, and the watch truly captures the supercar’s style and attitude. Restricted to a limited production of just 20 examples, a lucky few will be able to show off the fine watch that bears resemblance to a Bugatti speedster.
Even more limited than the supercar itself, the new timepiece boasts a cylindrical movement conveying a conventional “flat” time display thanks to three planetary gear trains. Each gear train is equipped with its own central train wheel, which allows the watch to display a standard 12-hour scale.
In order to replicate the Chiron’s styling, Parmigiani Fleurier opted for a sleek, masculine case, much like the shape of the vehicle’s bodywork. The timepiece also features a special mechanism that helps to fit the watch to any wrist for a closer, more comfortable fit.
Parmigiani Fleurier’s Bugatti Type 390 production will be limited to 10 red gold units and 10 white gold examples. Pricing has not yet been released.
