Boutique audio brand Klipsch has introduced two new powered speaker packages, and both present compelling evidence that the company hasn’t lost any ground in either visual aesthetics or driver design.
Both sets offer Klipsch’s characteristically enveloping audiophile presentation, as well as a few goodies from the tech age for easy tweaking via smart device.
The R-28PF floor-standing speakers, the larger of the two, feature dual copper-spun, magnetically shielded woofers and Tractrix horn tweeters. The 260-watt integrated amplifier built into the design eliminates the need for a receiver, and tackles all connections wirelessly through Bluetooth, including T.V. and turntable duties.
The R-14 PM monitor speakers are the bookshelf alternative, and feature a similar configuration, but with a single woofer and 80-watt amp. Either of the sleek matte black speaker options will offer listeners the Klipsch experience.
The American audio company’s new speakers are equipped with USB, RCA, and optical inputs, and 24-bit/192kHz digital-to-analog converters.
Klipsch’s R-14PM speaker set is available for $400. The floor-standing R-28PF is priced at $1,200.
