With the highly anticipated release of the new iPhone right around the corner, other tech brands are debuting new editions of their own smartphones. Now, China’s leading smartphone maker has partnered with Porsche Design Teams to introduce another competitor for the iPhone X, the Mate 10.
Surfers of Aliexpress will be familiar with Huawei. If you haven’t heard of the tech company before, it’s worth keeping an eye on the brand, as it’s now the leading smartphone producer in China, and ready to take a crack at the title.
The new smartphone is available in different configurations, and the most exclusive of them boasts characteristic design elements from Porsche’s lifestyle division. Mate 10’s standard models all come with features like a 6-inch screen, front and back glass panels, a fingerprint reader on the rear of the phone, and dual rear-facing Leica-designed cameras.
In addition, the NPU is Kirin-made, and was developed specifically to support artificial intelligence. With the ability to translate more than 50 languages in both text and voice without using cloud-based software, Siri might very well be out of a job.
The Porsche Design model comes in the limited edition Diamond Black hue and is equipped with (256 GB) of memory, double that of the standard model, in addition to a custom Porsche Design user interface, a leather flip case, and a USB-to-stereo jack adapter for wired headphones.
The Porsche Design Mate 10 is available to pre-order now for $1,645, and will ship in December.
