Successful business executive James Fifield has put his retreat in Aspen on the market for $18.4 million.

Fifield, the former president and chief executive of North Face and EMI Music, hired Uruguayan architect Horacio Ravazzani to design the extravagant country estate. Completed in 1995, the 14,119-square-foot ski chateau boasts interior designs from Steven Sills.

Complete with concrete set over kiln-dried Iroko wood, the manse has a style all its own with walls of wood-framed picture windows, a magnificent vaulted living room, and an astonishingly captivating dining room designed by Andre Dubreuil.

The heart of the house is the massive glass pyramid structure that centers the residence. Inspired by the Louvre Museum in Paris, it took more than 25,000 pounds of glass to construct the 3,250-square-foot structure.

In addition to unparalleled views of the mountains and surrounding forest, the 15-acre property is home to waterfalls, streams, and evergreen forest.

Fifield, who also worked as an executive for General Mills and CBS/Fox Video, was CEO of EMI Music for a decade, and was instrumental in turning the company into an entertainment powerhouse.
