For the creative photographer, a drone is fast becoming standard equipment.

Drone-maker DJI is continuing to advance the possibilities of aerial cinematography with its Zenmuse X7, presenting professional and amateurs alike with a very attractive option for birds’-eye shooting. Most impressively, the pro-grade drone comes equipped with Super 35 digital film format;it’s the first time a drone has been factory-equipped with the format.

The Chinese company’s new professional-grade shooter boasts an interchangeable lens with a special mounting system built specifically for the model. The X7 with the Super 35 video sensor offers low-noise imagining technology and 14 stops of dynamic range to help capture better details.

DJI claims that the Zenmuse X7 is able to shoot the highest resolution images of any drone camera, so operators can expect advanced imagining and striking images like never before. Photogs can also capture 6K video in 5.2K Apple ProRes up to 30 fps or CinemaDNG Raw, and 2.7K ProRes up to 59.94 FPS or 3.9K CinemaDNG RAW.

DJI’s new Zenmuse X7 drone camera is available now for $2,699, and will begin shipping early next month.
