Land Rover makes some of the most instantly recognizable sport utility vehicles on the market; their Range Rover model is widely considered to be the prototypical SUV. And now, JLR is introducing a new hybrid variant to include among the ranks of its highly anticipated 2018 Range Rover line. Yes, the Range Rover, the SUV of SUVs, is finally going hybrid.

The introduction of a hybrid model comes alongside a number of cosmetic upgrades to the Range Rover line generally. The flashy new fleet will hit streets with a reimagined grille, new front fascia, new taillights, and the addition of Pixel-laser LED headlights.

Land Rover also updated the interior with a number of upgrades including new 24-way power front seats, refreshed door panels, updated switchgear, and a brand new Touch Pro Duo infotainment system complete with two 10-inch touchscreen displays.

Physical beauty aside, the 2018 Range Rover line is more powerful (and eco-friendly!) than ever. The 2019 P400e plug-in hybrid powertrain is set up with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gas engine. An the electric motor with a 13.1 kWh lithium-ion battery pack helps the green luxury car to make the zero-to-60 mph leap in just 6.4 seconds.

For those who don’t want to wait for plug-in charging times, the 2018 SVAutobiography Dynamic is all ICE. It packs plenty of power: beneath the hood lurks a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 that produces 516 pound-feet of torque.

Pricing for the 2018 Range Rover line starts at $87,350 for the SE (V6), and goes all the way up to $207,900 for the SV Autobiography LWB (V8).
