Los Angeles art dealer Margo Leavin has just put her Hollywood Hills estate on the market for $15 million.

The well-known dealer’s Los Angeles-area contemporary is located on 1.8 acres in the La Brea Terrace gated community. The five-bedroom, seven-bath home stretches to 8,500 square feet, and features interiors as carefully considered as one would expect.

And, lots of light. Leavin’s home is decked-out with a number of floor-t0-ceiling windows offering incredible views of Hollywood and downtown L.A. The home is a classic streamline moderne, and dates to 1941. It boasts a number of art deco design cues, most notably the curved accents of the style and other jazz-age extravagances which high modern residential architecture would later deplore as vain ornamentation. But beautiful.

The future owner will also be drawn to the lush landscaped grounds out back complete with a large pool, a spa, and an outdoor kitchen. A meditation garden rounds out the property.

Leavin gained fame after opening her L.A.-based gallery in 1970. She showed prominent artists of all kinds during her career, including William Leavitt, Alexis Smith, David Hockney and Ed Moses. Leavin sold her gallery last year, for $40 million.
