On the heels of the introduction of Apple’s new iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X, Google has responded by offering two new smartphone options.

The tech brand’s new Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones will be available October 19, and they are giving Apple a run for its money with a number of advanced features. Google’s new smartphones boast nearly all the same features but differ in size and screen types.

One of the new changes is the introduction of HTC manufacturing, which helps to reduce the starting price of the Pixel 2 to $649 for the starter model. Very competitive. And the base version is far from basic, with a 5-inch screen and 64 GB of storage. Customers can drop another $100 to up the storage to 128 GB.

The LG-built Pixel 2 XL features a larger 6-inch screen and starts at $849 for 64 GB of storage. Like the Pixel 2, customers can upgrade storage on the XL to 128 Gigs for another $100.

Both of Google’s new devices include upgraded cameras, speakers, and Qualcomm processors, in addition to increased water resistance and the notable absence of a headphone jack. Users will particularly enjoy the OLED displays, 12.2-megapixel rear cameras, and “active edge” voice assistant features.
