Ted Sarandos, the chief content officer of Netflix, has just purchased a stunning Malibu home for $20 million.
Sarandos’ new three-story digs are set along the Encinal Bluffs up above El Sol County Beach. The four-bed, four-bath mini-compound stretches to nearly 4,636 square feet, not including a detached guest house of nearly 600 square feet.
The bright and airy great room serves as the center of the home with a simple fireplace, a galley-style kitchen, and massive glass panels that retract to offer intoxicating interior/exterior flow.
Boasting the look and feel of an Italian palazzo, the residence incorporates a number of luxe features, like hand-plastered walls, and a mix of polished concrete and wide plank wood floors. The home also holds a media room and a subterranean entertainment space.
Sarandos has enjoyed success at Netflix, a difficult task that has involved the development of a customized programming algorithm and the management of the company’s $6+ billion budget. Last year he earned $18.9 million for his efforts.
