Electric cars continue to grow in popularity, filtering into all automotive classes, even sports cars. Genovation has joined the ranks of other luxury carmakers in producing a powerful new electric vehicle that thrills drivers with high speed, an acute performance profile, and a whiplash launch time.

Genovation‘s Chevy Corvette-based GXE was the first street-legal EV to reach speeds above 200 mph. After setting a record two years ago, the special vehicle is finally coming to the market. Unfortunately, the GXE will be produced in a limited run of just 75 examples.

This GXE shows that fossil fuels aren’t needed to achieve serious power since it is able to produce 700 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. All that power results in a top speed of 209 mph, and a 0-60 time of three seconds.

The GXE is easy on the eyes, too, with distinctive Corvette style and a luxurious interior look. In addition to comfortable seating, the interior cabin also features an advanced tech control center with a touch screen, and iPhone and Android capabilities.

Pricing has yet to be announced, but interested customers should contact Genovation to preorder now before all 75 examples are spoken for.
