Emmy-nominated director/producer/screenwriter Doug Ellin and his ex-wife Melissa Hecht have just listed their Beverly Hills mansion for $9.995 million.

Ellin purchased the 1930s Traditional in August of 2008 for just under $6 million, and if he gets close to the asking price, he’s set to make a nice profit on the six-bedroom, 6.5 bath home.

The property begins with a double-gated horseshoe driveway that leads to a porch, and, inside, a beautiful double-height foyer. The house contains an open-concept living and dining room, vaulted ceilings and dark hardwood floors.

In addition to a spacious kitchen with a double-wide center island, there’s also an office/library and a large family room complete with a wet bar and a fireplace. Upstairs, the future owner will surely enjoy retiring to the master suite, complete with a sitting room, fireplace, walk-in closet, and French doors leading to a balcony.

The property exterior features an outdoor kitchen, a lounge area with a fireplace, multi-level flagstone terracing, and a saltwater swimming pool.

Best known for creating the HBO hit “Entourage,” Ellin also owns another L.A.-area home that he purchased from James Caan for $3.8 million.
