Harley-Davidson has revealed that its 2018 cruiser lineup will include some of the biggest performance upgrades ever.
The Milwaukee motorcycle brand has converted eight of its Dyna bikes into Softail cruisers. Now, the Deluxe, Breakout, Fat Bob, Street Bob, Softail Slim, Low Rider, Heritage Classic, and Fat Boy will be a part of the Softail collection. The bikes will feature upgraded suspensions, stronger chassis, new fuel tanks, and substantial weight reductions. Each will also boast a stronger engine, either the Milwaukee-Eight 114 or the Milwaukee-eight 107 V-twin.
Of course, performance isn’t the only thing receiving an update. The bikes will also boast tech upgrades, features like keyless ignition, LED headlights, USB ports. Some models will be equipped with cruise control.
Dubbing the new line a collection of “factory custom cruisers,” Harley is making a pretty big move to bring in new riders, and it looks like it will pay off. Pricing for the 2018 model collection starts at $14,999 for the basic Low Rider or Street Bob, going up t0 around $20,300 for more tricked-out models.
