Former Lakers legend and ex-Knicks coach Derek Fisher accepted an offer of $5.95 million for his home in Hidden Hills. Fisher purchased the Cape Cod-style home in 2009, for $5.5 million, and listed it on the open market for the first time in June of last year, with an asking price of $6.995 million. It was priced at $6.2 million prior to the sale.
The home dates to 2007. The property-at-large is geared to an equestrian enthusiast, and the substantial grounds—which come to a little over 1.1 acres—include a two-stall stable. Overall, it is a typically expansive Hidden Hills property: little is left to chance.
The main house measures a little more than 9,400 square feet, and makes a substantial impression from streetside. Stacked stone accents, a sprawling façade, and a mix of window styles define the front exterior.
Within, materials and finishes include high-gloss hickory floors, Venetian plaster walls, marble, and walnut-stained paneling. The tonal scheme is moody, with darker earth tones and dark grays used predominantly throughout. Exposed beams hint at post-and-beam aesthetics, bringing a touch of rusticity to the overall vision, and pocket ceilings contribute a dash of ornamental complexity.
There are five bedrooms and seven baths in the main house; the guest house adds another bedroom and bathroom to the property overall. A pool/spa, slate patio and sunlounge, lawns, an attached pergola and an outdoor fireplace in stacked stone fill out the appealing grounds.
Fisher spent the bulk of his 18-year playing career with the Lakers—thirteen seasons in two stints—and signed on with the Knicks as head coach in 2014. He is now a Lakers analyst for Spectrum SportsNet.
