Electronics giant LG has just paired up with premium audio brand Bang & Olufsen to create a beautiful new OLED TV. Ideally, LG gets B&O name recognition and credibility out of the deal, while Bang & Olufsen gets a taste of LG sales power and exposure.
The new 4K TV and sound system boasts trademark features and design elements from both companies, which is what makes this collaboration so special. Dubbed the BeoVision Eclipse TV, it is the first product to result from the two brands’ partnership, which dates to March of last year.
The 4K HDR TV features an ultra-sleek look and a massive soundbar. The television is available in 55- and 65-inch screens, and both size options are paired with an anodized aluminum soundbar that contains a 450-watt, three-channel speaker system. The design aesthetic is classic B&O: understated Scandinavian formalism.
Since B&O is known for superior sound production, listeners can expect the same from the new soundbar that easily plays music via AirPlay, Bluetooth, or Chromecast.
Of course, with such a unique collaboration comes a higher price. The BeoVision Eclipse TV will be available this month for $10,715 (55-inch) and $15,000 (65-inch).
