After settling in as CEO of Sony Pictures Entertainment, Tony Vinciquerra has picked up a little gift for himself and his family: an $11 million French country-influenced estate in Manhattan Beach.

The chateau-style main residence on the property dates to 1989, and spans a little more than 6,800 square feet. The house’s hipped roof, porte-cochère entry, motor court, and exterior stone balusters give the house an authentic presence. It keeps very much to form, and doesn’t stray from the familiar tropes.

The interior of the home is distinguished by a grand, double-height foyer with inlaid stone tile floor, curved staircase with wrought iron balusters, and a second-floor gallery. The kitchen has seen a recent remodel, and, again, is executed very strongly in the French country style, with a stone fireplace, vaulted ceiling with exposed beams, and hardwood floors.

The home makes the most of its California location, with generous glass, and multiple sets of French doors that open onto the property exterior. Toning is fairly neutral: off-white, with the occasional foray into understated cool. Over all, the house features palatial aspirations that are nicely relieved by its rustic flourishes.

The property is comprised of two parcels that extend the grounds to about an acre, and incorporates a pool house and guest house.

Vinciquerra had a triumphant reign at Fox before joining Sony. His new position oversees Sony’s film and television production division.
