Jeep has long worked at keeping up with luxury SUV brands like Land Rover, and while the company might not be technically considered a luxe brand, the all new hellcat-powered Jeep Grand Cherokee is looking to increase the brand’s ranking in spite of the competition.
The all-new Cherokee doesn’t just look luxurious, it performs like a high-end car should, earning the title of the world’s fastest SUV.
All that speed is thanks to a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 engine capable of producing 707 hp and 645 lb-ft of torque. These specs equate to a zero-to-60 mph time of just 3.5 seconds, topping out at an impressive 180 mph.
All that power is matched to a strong TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission. A new Brembo braking system provides the car with the necessary stopping power.
“The 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk delivers astounding performance numbers, backed by renowned SRT engineering that combines world-class on-road driving dynamics with luxury, refinement, and an array of innovative advanced technology,” said Mike Manley, in a Jeep statement.
Jeep is now accepting orders for the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk starting at $86,995.
