Though many new eBikes take on an ultra-modern, minimalist aesthetic in keeping with the current zeitgeist, Ruff Cycles joins companies like Vintage Electric and Ariel in offering a design reminiscent of classic fat-tires and flyers.

The Ruffian is a luxe German electric bike, but it looks a lot like a classic chopper. While its appearance certainly honors the motorbike, this eBike is quite a bit more environmentally friendly.

Ruff Cycles’ newest creation looks a bit old-fashioned, but it boasts all the amenities of a top-tier eBike, including a Bosch motor and battery. Thanks to a 500-Wh power pack, a 250W pedal-assist motor, and an eight-speed hub gearbox from Shimano, the Ruffian packs a solid amount of power and riding versatility.

The Ruffian boasts a top speed of 20 mph with a range 0f 56 miles. After an extended cruise the bike can charge up in just 3.5 hours.

Ruff Cycles’ Ruffian is available in three colors. Pricing starts at $6,500.
