Bentley’s trip across the pond to Monterey Auto Week involved several substantial pieces of luggage. Beyond bringing with them all things Bentley—a representative survey from their Design, Home and Boutique collections—the Brits also carried a representative survey of their automotive offerings for the North American market, including models new to U.S. soil.

The mercurial Continental Supersports coupe leads the charge, and following are three editions of the Bentayga SUV to show off the versatility of Bentley’s SUV designs and Mulliner division. A wild-card EV concept represents a potential flanking maneuver; it’s the most interesting car of the bunch and, although we covered it after the Geneva Show in March, it’s certainly worth another quick survey, as it simultaneously displays an eco-conscious soul and the beauty of a Bentley.

The Continental Supersports is awfully quick for a 5,000-pound automobile. Bentley has gone to work on their W12 engine and managed to squeeze 700 horsepower out of it, delivering 750 pound-feet of torque; in simple accelerative terms, the car can launch to 60 in 3.4 seconds, and reach 209 MPH. It’s the fastest four-seat touring car in the world.

The Bentayga is represented in a trio of examples: a Mulliner edition, an Activity edition, and a Black edition which puts a glitzy, glossy, urbane spin on the murdered-out vogue.

The EXP 12 Speed 6e is the company’s horizon model, a two-seat ragtop with a spectacularly sprightly, youthful design expression. The EV orientation doesn’t lose any of the Bentley trappings, of course, and the car is a blue-blood touring car through and through. The drivetrain is a matter for conjecture, but the car’s speed and range are expected to be very substantial. And, with amenities including a fully-connected information system that will be able to understand complex queries and customize the journey as it happens, going so far as to book hotel rooms en-route, the car will be Bentley’s response to the potentialities of high-tech.
