TV writer/producer Neal Baer is looking to unload his Los Angeles-area home for $4.195 million.
The seven-time Emmy nominated creative writer and consultant has just acquired a new home in the Hollywood Hills, prompting the listing of his Brentwood manse. Located in the Crestwood Hills neighborhood, Baer’s home is a 1955 contemporary spanning 2,351 square feet.
Completely updated and restored, the home holds two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and features spectacular views of the Getty Center.
Modern and masculine, the interior design boasts a mixture of brick and wood throughout. The new owner will be particularly drawn to the living/dining room that features a vaulted, open-beam exposed wood ceiling and an expansive raised-hearth brick fireplace. Design influences include modern Pacific Northwest and Japanese countryside.
Of course, you can’t ignore an entire wall of floor-to-ceiling windows that give way to the Century City skyline. Additional features include a cozy library with built-in walnut bookshelves, a peaceful courtyard, a multi-use basement-like room, a terraced yard, and a luxe master suite.
Baer, a physician-turned-writer, is best known for his work on “ER” and “Law & Order.” The Harvard-trained doctor owns another home above LA.’s Bronson Canyon, in addition to his new digs in the Hollywood Hills.
