Brazilian race and test driver Enrique Bernoldi recently parted ways with his condo in Miami Beach. Bernoldi accepted an offer of $6 million against the asking price of $7.5 million; the property had been initially listed in January at $7.9 million. Bernoldi purchased the residence in 2014, for $5.5 million.

The condo is situated on a corner of the south tower of the Continuum building in South Beach. It measures a little over 2,500 square feet, and contains three bedrooms and 3.5 baths.

The unit incorporates the rotunda of the tower; the open-concept living area, then, is encompassed by a broad arc of glass with a southern exposure. The bank of windows continues around the front of the unit, looking out onto the balcony, and terminates at the master bedroom. All bedrooms are en-suite, with the master including a good-sized walk-in closet between the bedroom and bath.

The design aesthetics of the interior are contemporary: airy, somewhat detached, minimally ornamented. Floors are pale hardwood, and the home’s composition is articulated in contrasts and space. Ceilings are nearly 10’, and the choice of lighting enhances the ethereal atmosphere. The kitchen’s marble adds a little visual texture to the proceedings.

The unit is bordered by the long balcony, which traverses the interior from one end to the other. The view surveys the beach, and extends to the Fisher Islands.

Bernoldi has competed in Formula 1, The World Series by Nissan, and the IndyCar Series.
