René Turrek’s newest project is this BMW i8, an ideal ride for the villain out for a weekend drive.
With a hood featuring a frightfully acute likeness of Jared Leto’s particularly demented Joker from ‘Suicide Squad,’ and quarter panels decorated with maniacal laughter in anarchic subtitles, the car is quite a statement for a fan of DC Comics, or fans of film versions of Batman mythos. Skulls are another decoration, naturally.
The i8 may be a little eco-conscious to be the first choice of the Joker, but the car’s 3.8-second 0-60 time is ideal for quick getaways.
The car also features exterior ambient lighting—essential for setting the proper road-going atmosphere—which may be operated via remote control.
The project is the latest in Turrek’s series of comic-book homage customizations; previous work includes another BMW i8 evocative of the Joker’s nemesis, the Dark Knight himself. That car featured a series of bats along the car’s sides, as well as a design which would light up for night driving.
