NBA star Joakim Noah is taking advantage of the California summer weather before returning to the East Coast. The longtime center for the Chicago Bulls has leased a home in the Sunset Mesa neighborhood of Malibu for $25K/month worth of rest and relaxation, charging up his batteries, one would expect, before his second season with the New York Knicks.
The house, which is designed in no particular style, and probably dates to the 1960’s, is situated on a hilltop lot with superb views of the Pacific. A renovation has brought the interiors in line with current fashion; walls and ceilings are expressed as modern, floors are wide-plank hardwood, and recessed lighting runs throughout.
The home’s open-concept common living area begins with a kitchen and day room, and progresses to the dining and living rooms which face the water. A niche fireplace grounds the space, and folding glass doors open to the outside deck.
The home’s four bedrooms and three baths include a master suite, which contains another set of folding glass doors, and a second fireplace.
The property exterior features a trellis-covered outside dining area, a pool, and a stretch of lawn.
Noah was named an NBA All-Star twice during his years with the Bulls. He joined the New York Knicks in 2016 by signing a four-year, $72 million contract.
