Clive Davis has dropped the asking price on his condo in the Ritz Tower about 10%. Davis had initially offered the property at $7.8 million, but recently slashed $800K from the price of the apartment. The condo is now being marketed at $6.995 million.
Davis purchased the two units that comprise the condo in 2015, paying about $3.4 million for both apartments. The conversion and renovation process was extensive, resulting in a 3 bedroom and 3.5 bath residence.
The heart of the property is a glass-enclosed circular staircase with a glass baluster, presided over by a chandelier. It uses oak and matte brass to establish a stylistic foundation of warmth and modernity for the residence; notable, as it is the apartment’s transitional vehicle. The layout establishes a wide-open entertainment and living space upstairs, and situates the sleeping arrangements down. The apartment contains about 2,800 square feet of living space all together.
Featuring hardwood floors in a herringbone pattern, it is finished in white, with recessed ceiling fixtures. The kitchen is bright and open, and features a plank fixture with an LED strip over the island. It’s fixed with brass supports.
The apartment’s foyer incorporates an elegant and urbane surprise: a wet bar in glass and marble hidden discreetly behind a door, painted in a shade near to hunter, and illuminated by a small brass chandelier.
Multi Grammy-winning producer Davis has worked at various labels, but currently acts as Sony Music’s guiding spirit. He has worked with artists as diverse as Usher, Brad Paisley, and The Grateful Dead.
