Katherine Moennig—who presently stars in Showtime’s talent-heavy series ‘Ray Donovan’—has seen her bungalow in perennially hip Laurel Canyon into a provisional sale. Moennig was asking $995K for the home prior to the sale, and had listed it initially only in June of this year. She purchased the home about a decade ago, for $750K.
The compact house is of undetermined square footage, but a guess would place it at around 1,000 feet of interior living space. The home dates to 1949, and contains two bedrooms and one full bath.
The home’s exterior is clad in board-and-batten siding, and the design is modern-influenced. A long, narrow design to fit lot limitations.
The interiors, though, have been fully revised. The common living area is entirely open, sweeping the length of the house. Floors are mid-toned hardwood, and ceilings feature exposed beams and tongue-and-groove plank. Track lighting fulfills its function discreetly.
The galley kitchen features dark-finished custom cabinetry and plank shelving, offering a nice contrast to the floors. Window and door surrounds bring another wood tone into the mix. Pretty nice work with a smaller-sized space.
The living area opens broadly onto a two-level deck on one side of the house; the other features a small patio with grill station at ground level. No pool to be found, but the outdoor lounge abuts a spa.
Moennig’s role on Showtime’s ‘The L Word’ transitioned neatly into ‘Ray Donovan’ four years later. She appeared in last year’s film ‘My Dead Boyfriend.’
