The team president of the Washington Redskins, Bruce Allen, has just scooped up a luxurious Newport Beach home for $7 million.

Allen’s new digs are set in the Balboa Peninsula area, and the custom-built home was constructed in 1997. It includes 41 feet of water frontage, with docking for boats and a private pier.

The interiors are modern, and quite gracefully executed. The 4,100-square-foot home features an expansive living room with floor-to-ceiling glass doors offering views of the water beyond. The home contains five bedrooms, four bathrooms, a formal dining room, and a wet bar.

The opportunity to entertain carries over in the large kitchen complete with a long center island and a floating range. A charming brick patio looks out over the Pacific.

Allen, who has been with the Redskins since 2009, got a good deal on the beachfront home: it was first listed in February for $8.495 million.
