The new Bossa Moonraker sound system might be named for a moonstruck fool with a penchant for Brazilian rhythms, but it’ll sound fine to a more pragmatic listener stuck on jazz samba.
The unique sound system blends retro and futuristic design elements in its lunar appearance. The rounded shape was crafted using a rotomolding polymer shaping process, and the spherical housing is the perfect shape to hold two Class D amplifiers.
The spherical and mod design isn’t just for looks, though. The round shape helps provide the efficient acoustical properties that allow for an internal rating of 150 watts each, and lowered diffraction and resonance for drastically better sound.
Enabled for Bluetooth 2.1, the paired Moonraker sound system is equipped with two analog inputs and two wired digital inputs, and is available now for $2,399.
