Producer Alex Herschlag—whose credits include Emmy-winning series ‘Ellen’—has listed a home in Los Angeles for sale at $2.5 million. Herschlag has owned the property for about fifteen years, and purchased it for $1.3 million.

A colonial style, with a façade of brick and timber, the home measures about 3,300 square feet, and features a pleasingly eclectic design. With the brick walkway, and the landscaping, it presents itself as a very charming cottage.

The interiors are bright and airy, with parquet or plank floors and a simple hardwood and wrought-iron staircase design. A stone fireplace with a hardwood mantel provides the focus for the living room, grounding what would otherwise be a very ethereal presentation.

The kitchen presents a combination of beautiful tile floors and granite countertops; the merging of kitchen renovation and period detail really stands out. Stainless, and white cabinetry, and a butler’s door, complete the room.

The home contains four bedrooms and four baths. The master suite, like the rest of the home, features updated glass, as well as a master bathroom with a marble-capped double vanity, tile floors, and a soaking tub.
