Lena Headey—of ‘Game of Thrones’ fame—has listed a renovated home in Sherman Oaks. The actress is asking $1.945 million for the midcentury modern, which she picked up in the early spring of 2014 for $790K.

Measuring 2,922 square feet, and containing five bedrooms and 4.5 baths, the renovations conducted to the house have enhanced its historical qualities, with reclaimed siding on the second floor giving the home a defined identity as a contemporary.

Inside, the revision used reclaimed oak for the herringbone floors, giving the home visual interest, a touch of the rustic, and the appeal of green materials. Blue-and-white tile in the kitchen tosses in a competing visual texture to the flooring, and balances out the warmth of the wood.

The whole home is as carefully designed. The open-trussed living room ceiling features raw-wood exposed beams, and a fireplace with a fireplace which is probably reclaimed brick, and raw wood beams run as accents through some of the other rooms. Skylights, built-ins, and a white staircase are other notable design features. Glass doors open from the family room to the backyard.

Baths—each renovated as an individual statement—take a few chances with tones and materials, and the playfulness gives the house an easy-going, bohemian atmosphere. One bath is finished in canary-yellow subway tile and orange tile floor; wake up to that bathroom, and you can skip the morning coffee.

The home’s exterior features include an outdoor shower stall in reclaimed wood, a front yard garden in the Japanese style, and a backyard pool with sunlounge and outdoor living room.

Headey’s first big role landed her in a Terry Gilliam film. She is part of the original cast of ‘Game of Thrones’; Headey plays a prominent Lannister in the program.
