Actor Barry Miller has a home in Stevenson Ranch up for sale.
A 2015 build, the home’s streetside presentation is rooted in the Spanish eclectic or revival style, with a turret entrance, tiled roof, stucco walls, and lantern sconces. The suburban lot is a little sparse in the way of flora, but the subdivision is clearly a young one.
The home’s interiors balance the modern and the period-influenced quite gracefully—a great deal of dark wood, white walls and ceilings, recessed lighting, and a fair amount of glass distinguish the spaces. An open-concept layout, the living area opens broadly onto the property, and a main entrance which gives way to a small courtyard makes the home’s first impression one of expanse, and interior/exterior flow.
Materials used for the build include a hefty amount of organic and sustainable products: the wide-plank floors are organic-engineered, curtains and valances are organic cotton, and carpeting is 100% organic wool pile. The tile used for the master bath and entrance courtyard is imported, and the bath’s vanities, like the kitchen countertops, are beige granite.
Rooms include a great room with fireplace, walk-in closet, walk-in pantry, and a nicely proportioned master suite. The lot extends to a little less than a third of an acre.
Miller’s initial major film role was ‘Saturday Night Fever’ (as the doomed teenager who falls to his death), followed by a starring role in ‘Fame.’ He won a Tony Award for his part in ‘Biloxi Blues’, thereafter landing further major roles in Francis Ford Coppola’s ‘Peggy Sue Got Married’ and starring alongside Robert DeNiro and Phillip Seymour Hoffman in ‘Flawless,’ as well as Anthony Hopkins in the 2001 remake of ‘The Devil and Daniel Webster.’
