Jeremy Piven—best known for his role as Ari Gold in HBO’s hit series ‘Entourage’—is now the proud owner of a striking contemporary residence in Hollywood Hills West. The actor paid $6.8 million for the property about a month ago. The home hit the market in December of last year with an initial asking price of $7.9 million.
The four bedroom, five-bath home extends to 4,824 square feet of living space, and features a unique design allowing for generous terrace space. The home dates to 1980, but has seen renovations in the past decade.
The home’s exterior presents it as a cool, angular vision in concrete and glass, but interiors are founded in the tried-and-true contrast of openness, reflective white and naturally-finished hardwood. The abundance of glass—including retractable walls—allow for a breathtaking feeling of expanse.
The living area is wide open, and room-to-room flow is unimpeded. A floating staircase rests on an accent platform, and a wall of built-ins provides some distinction between the spaces, but doesn’t detract from the overall sense of fluidity. The home currently contains a billiards room, a large kitchen designed for the serious amateur gourmet, and living and day rooms. The master suite features a fireplace, and a glass wall which reveals a private terrace with views of the city.
The home’s exterior includes a great deal of outdoor living space, much of it on the second floor of the house. An infinity pool and a detached spa also feature stunning city views.
Jeremy Piven’s role as Ari on ‘Entourage’ lasted as long as the series and earned him several well-deserved awards. He also featured as the lead in the ITV/PBS series ‘Mr. Selfridge.’ His long and prolific career includes roles in ‘Serendipity,’ ‘Black Hawk Down,’ and ‘Smokin’ Aces,’ where his performance was particularly impressive.
