For aspiring Jeremiah Johnsons out there, or those who know just how breathtakingly beautiful big sky country can be, “Mountain Men” executive producer Marc Pierce has listed his hilltop abode in Big Sky, Montana, for $5.79 million.
Pierce’s ski-in, ski-out retreat is listed as a “cowboy heaven” in the listing material, which sounds like a lost Village People album, but simple means very rustic. It measures in at 6,400 square feet and was built in 2006 using chiseled stone and reclaimed wood.
The interior features a formal dining room, a large stone fireplace, a game room, a chef’s kitchen, wrought iron chandeliers, five bedrooms, and seven bathrooms. Beneath the house is a spa, and outside there is a deck for additional living space, and an extra structure to hold ski and gear.
The exterior offers lovely views of the Moonlight Basin and the Spanish Peaks.
Pierce is also responsible for producing shows such as “Duck Commander,” “Log Cabin Living,” and “NRA All Access.” Pierce’s current hit, History Channel’s “Mountain Men,” is currently in its sixth season and chronicles the lives of men and their families devoted to living off-the-grid.
