BMW Lifestyle’s entrance into the e-bike market clinches it. High-tech e-bikes aren’t just for techy bike brands anymore, they’re going upscale mainstream.
U.S. bike builder Specialized Bikes partnered with BMW Lifestyle to debut the exclusive and long-named limited-edition bike that marks the brand’s first foray into the E-bike market. They’re calling it the “Specialized for BMW Turbo Levo FSR 6Fattie.” It’s an all-terrain bike that takes inspiration from the BMW X3.
The bike boasts an exclusive Phytonic Blue paint job that highlights the bike’s four-wheeled inspiration, while elements like an extra-short chain and adjustable seat post offer comfort and ease of handling. In addition, a 250-watt electric motor is powered by a 504Wh battery pack so riders can rely on a smooth and speedy commute. “Fattie” is for fat tires, of course.
For BMW-ish creature comforts, the collaborative creation features state-of-the-art advancements like an ultra-quiet motor, in-car charging in a BMW, and a smartphone app that helps the motor adjust to riding conditions.
The Specialized for BMW Turbo Levo FSR 6Fattie will be available at the end of August, and priced at around $5,860.
