Los Angeles Rams star running back Todd Gurley has set his roots more deeply in L.A. with the $1.8-million purchase of a 2005-built home in a gated neighborhood in Chatsworth.

The two-story home boasts a Mediterranean aesthetic and holds formal dining and living rooms, a family room with a fireplace, an office, and a decked-out chef’s kitchen. The 5,200-square-foot house boasts a total of five bedrooms and five bathrooms.

The plot is nestled into the foothills, and offers views of the surrounding mountains and valley below. The exterior boasts a built-in barbecue, and a lagoon-style pool and spa set into a rocky space with a beautifully cascading double waterfall feature.

Gurley took the NFL by storm during his rookie season, when the Rams were still in St. Louis. He ran 1,106 yards, with 10 touchdowns that season; he was named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, earning himself a trip to the Pro Bowl.
